- The ancient temple, which was built during the reign of King Munmuwang of Silla, was reconstructed by the Buddhist Priest Hyegeo during the reign of King Gwangjong of Goryeo. The simple yet majestic Main Hall and the Yeongsanjeon Hall, designated as Treasure No. 823, blend well, adding beauty to the temple where the Buddha of Medicine is placed. In the summer, the temple presents thick greens, even hiding the viewer's vision, while the meandering Seoknamsa Valley water cools the surrounding view.
